Billing & refunds
What happens when the 7-day trial ends?
You keep your account and keep practising — the trial steps down to the free plan instead of shutting the door. From day 8 you get 7 conversation turns, 2 AI writing corrections, 30 dictations and 80 audio plays per day, free, forever. Buddy Plus simply removes those caps.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Sign in with Google and the 7 days of unlimited Plus begin straight away — nothing to enter, nothing to cancel. You only reach a payment form if you choose to subscribe.
What counts against a daily limit?
One conversation reply is one turn, one submitted written answer is one correction, one dictated answer is one dictation, and each time we speak a line aloud it is one audio play. Counters reset daily at 00:00 UTC. Re-reading your past corrections, browsing the vocab deck and every /tools page cost nothing on any plan.
How am I billed and in what currency?
In India you are billed in INR via Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking). Everywhere else you are billed in USD through Stripe, which acts as merchant of record and handles local sales tax and VAT. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancelling stops all future billing immediately, and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
What is your refund policy?
A 7-day no-questions-asked refund on any subscription payment. Email support@germanbuddy.ai with your account email and we refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. See our refund policy for details.
What is the difference between monthly and yearly?
Same features. Yearly simply costs less per month — India ₹1,999/yr (save 44%) and international $59/yr (save 45%) versus paying month-to-month.
